Location: Kansas / South Dakota | Am trying to decide whether or not I "need" an Apple watch. I am leaning towards the Series 5 with GPS + Cellular, but curious how much those with cellular actually use it, or if those without wish they had it? It seems as though most I've talked to without don't miss not having it, but those with cellular seem to think that's the only way to go. Your thoughts/experience?? |

| I had a samsung watch like the apple watch with celluar and HATED it - may have just been a samsung thing, but it screwed up all of my calls and voicemail and was a total PITA. Fast forward to now - switched to Iphone and got an apple watch without cell (after much debate due to the previous experience). Love it! I can leave my phone in my kitchen and work colts in the round pen and still have connectivity. Don't feel the need for the cell service at all with how well they connect. My husband bought me the watch in case I got bucked off and hurt and couldn't get to my phone. |

Same reason my husband got me my apple watch, he hates to ride and I do 99.99% of my riding alone down the creek, I got tossed from my mare about 3 million years ago and he is afraid I will get killed and he'll have to feed them himself since he knows I would come back to haunt him if he ever sold any of them. Love my apple watch , well actually, it is a love hate relationship cause "she " is always nagging me to get up and move, get my stand hours in, get my exercise ring closed, etc....BUT I can now really time how long I'm loping or long trotting on the horses too and if I die, Dave will know where to look. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | Mine has cellular because I refuse to ride with my phone on me. It annoys me that people have pouches for theirs on their saddle frankly, LOL!!! I mean I get it, if you need it in an emergency but rarely in an "emergency" are you going to be able to crawl back on to get to it from the pouch. |

| I have a series 3 no cellular. I was also just testing the water to see if I liked it as I've NEVER worn a watch... well I harly ever go a day without it now. I love it. Sometimes I feel like it has quite far reach and other times not so much - so next time I think i will go with cellular. Also it hooks with my spotify to bluetooth speaker etc while riding which is great. I hate carrying a cell phone on my horse and the watch totally fixes that. I also find it helps with my productivity for work (in an office). A quick look and I know whether or not it is something I have to deal with now or defer it to later. Much less bothered by my phone. Same goes when on the horse too. It has taken down my screentime over all. I don't think I have a bad thing to say about it. Although I am still trying to find the perfect band. |

| I have the series 5 with cellular. It was insisted that I get cellular in case I fell off a horse and didn't have my phone haha. I have enjoyed having it but don't think it is a 'must', especially if you are like me and always keep your phone nearby. However, if you don't mind spending the money you might as well just get it (cellular). I was a Samsung user before and while I loved my samsung watch, it was nowhere near as consistent and seamless as my Apple watch. It has been nice being able to run in the grocery store and not worry about bringing my phone (although I almost always have it on me). ETA: to clarify in my third sentence, I don't think celluar is a must. I DO think my Apple watch is a must - I wear it every day. I do wish it had sleep tracking built in but it looks like that is coming with the update in the Fall!

Location: Texas | I have the Series 3 without cellular. I enjoy it quite a bit because when I'm on a call at work and can't pull my phone out at that moment, I still am able to glance and see who has texted/called. Also I know if I NEED to take a call that I'm getting during shift. There are certainly benefits, but I just don't enjoy having to charge my watch every day to wear it. I forget to put it on the charger pretty often. |

Location: Randolph, Utah | I have a series 3 with cellular. Sometimes the cellular doesn’t work really well but I do like being able to look and see who has text me or answer a call when I'm not around my phone. My only complaint is I thought I could listen to music on it, I can but I have to wear headphones. maybe the newer ones have that capability. I really want to upgrade to a 5, but I got this one used for cheap and plan to use it until it's dead. |

Location: Hiding from Reality | I wear my watch every day and have for 3 years. Mine is a Series 3. If I were to get a new one I would get cellular so I don't have to have my phone on me when I ride. I believe the new ones call 911 if you hit the ground so hard and don't get up within a certain amount of time. I have always worn a watch and I had tried to "save money" and bought a Fitbit. Sold the Fitbit and bought the Apple watch. Being able to respond to messages and answer calls was a big plus for me. Plus where I work I can't always answer my phone or check messages on my phone but I always need to see who is calling or read messages (I know that is kind of hard to understand). Really do I do much on my watch, no but I do check my messages there and who is calling. If you can buy an older one for a reasonable amount to test the water I would. Make sure they clear the watch all the way out before you get it so you can pair the watch with your phone. |

| I have one WITHOUT cellular - I told my husband I wanted one for Mother's Day so I could listen to music while I ride and not have to take my phone. He asked if I needed one with cellular and I said no - I didn't need to make calls, just listen to music. Big mistake. I can't listen to Spotify unless it's connected to my phone. I can't stay close enough for my phone for it to work. I like having the watch because I can change songs from my wrist, but I still have to carry my phone in a pouch. |

| I don't know which watch I have. Lol. But I have the cellular and I love it. Sometimes I am doing stuff with the horses where I can't have a phone in my hand to talk on so with the watch I am able to do multiple things while on the phone. And sometimes you can't get to your pocket to grab your phone so again I like it. It is pretty handy. And I can talk to my watch to text if I need something while I am warming a horse up. Another benefit. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | I still have the original silicone (maybe) band that came with it. Between working out and riding horses I blow thru leather bands or they get pretty nasty quickly. I keep thinking I'm going to get a cool new silicone band but I think that idea is not really going to happen till this one dies a respectable death...3.5 years and counting<LOL!!! |

Location: Ky | My wife and I are both runners and use the Garmin watches. There was a time when the Garmin did things that the Apple didn't. Today I think they are about the same. But we are used to the Garmin. |

| I have the Apple Watch with cellar and god. There is a way that you can set it so that if you fall it will call a designated person. My trainer insisted that I get one because I live by myself and I am old. Two recommendations. Be sure you get the AppleCare which is $5 or 6 a month. Had a friend drop hers in their tile floor and it broke. No AppleCare. My trainer's malfunctioned and could not be fixed and she had AppleCare. Got a new watch. The other recommendation is get a screen saver. You can get them from amazon for about $5 or 6. At Bestbuy they are $30! |

| I got one a while back and I really like it. It isn't a NEED but I ride a lot by myself. So I like having the ability to call for help if I need to. I got the one with call service but I have not turned it on yet. Haven't felt like I needed to. I leave my phone on the fence and ride. I can still get texts and everything. I like that it has a timer on it so I can keep track of how long I have been long trotting/loping. |
