| I needed another pup like I need a hole in the head lol! Buuuuuut.... he's so cute and I need a hauling pard for my daughter and I when we hit the road. Hubby decided a red heeler would fit the bill... So.... we go pick him up this afternoon. My youngest son had a baseball tournament last night and I told him if they won (they haven't won 1 yet) we would name him "Hooks" (that's the name of his baseball team) well... they pulled it off last night and came home with the WIN after a grueling 3 game battle to the top! I wanted to name him "Salty" but I'm not 1 to back out of a promise to my kiddos ... I'll let my son decide if that's what he wants to call him. Secretly hoping for Salty lol! But I have a superstitious side to me that say stick with "Hooks"

| We decided on "Salty" when we picked him up yesterday. My son said he didn't really look like a hooks lol! Soon as I said "Salty" the pup started wagging his little nub and getting all excited. He's super cute and doing awesome on potty training sobfar! He's dog #6 for us We've been thru plenty of potty training pups got it down to a science now ... plus this little guy is so smart! He learns quick! My other dogs have already accepted him into their pack and make sure he's safe when we go out for our potty trips every few hours lol! It's kinda creepy at 2am out here

Really miss having my Heelers, I may have to get another one when my old dog gos to puppy heaven. My last Red Heelers name was Rusty, and his momma's name was Lucy she was a red head/heeler too.

Location: North Central Iowa Land of white frozen grass | We have had 3 heelers in the last 5 years. I don't think I will ever be able to get another one as my wife will kill me. The one we have now thinks that everything my wife plants around the house she is supposed to pull out over night. Her name is Karen

| I knew I shouldn't have opened this thread. I use to raise heelers and would love to have another one, especially a red but we get so many dogs dumped on us, I just can't take on another dog. I have one heeler left and she is getting up in age. |

| Having survived thru 4 Labrador puppies ... my back porch stairs didn't actually survive.... they were like beavers! This little guy isn't being too bad in destruction... yet.... he's so full of himself tho... he thinks he's one of the big dogs. They just pin him when he gets too rambunctious lol! |
