Dumb as ever, dear Frodo. Bravo.
So now you are saying that he is not going to get rid of the Trump tax cuts? Was Joe lying than or is he lying now. Or as usual he is full of c*** |

Dumb as ever, dear Frodo. Bravo.
I watched Biden admit he was going to roll back Trump's tax cuts. You are the dumb one. |

If there is a Dem majority in the Senate, he can do almost whatever he wants. If not, then the GOP majority will be the firewall. |

Location: Displaced Iowegian | Did anyone even read the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA)? The law cut corporate tax rates permanently and individual tax rates TEMPORARILY that will EXPIRE in 2025. It, also, suspended a number of itemized deductions through 2025 which raised the tax level for those living in high "property tax" states. But then IF that didn't affect you .... so what? right? |

Look at the differences in the Washington vs Oregon economies, they are night and day different. Oregon chose to be founded with an incom tax and they are struggling. Washington's economy is thriving. Don't get me started on their crazy left wing governments these days, but income taxes don't work. |

And that attitude is what got us all into the mess we are in. No matter what side you are on. Everyone thought - well it doesn't affect me, so why care? Well eventually, that snowball rolls down the hill. Do we need a tax code over haul? We certainly do. However, eliminating/lowering the inheritance tax for one, is death to small farms/business. Don't tell me they need to prepare either. Yes, I know you can hire an attorney for $7-10K and get everything put in trusts, etc. to stop the tax. But, why do people who make over $400K have to do this? We work our ass off and believe me, yes, with more money comes more responsibilities, but eliminating/or lowering limits isn't the answer. |

Location: North Central Iowa Land of white frozen grass | The rest of the world runs on a consumption tax. No exemptions. With what we have the wealthy will never pay their fair share. Its smoke and mirrors if you think they do. Corp taxes should be 80%. Right now Corps hoard cash instead of investing in themselves. Easier to buy the compition and put them out of business if you have cash. If they had to pay high taxes they would find every deduction they could. And don't believe the BS they say the consumer pays it in the end. They will not price themselves out of business. Don't believe me. Go research what the tax code was when this great country was started. |

Location: North Central Iowa Land of white frozen grass | 1D. I guess I didn't explain what I wanted to say very well. I wish we had a straight sales tax on everything with no Exceptions. Let's get rid of the wealthy loopholes. Don't tax people for making money. Tax people for spending it. It's voluntary that way. |

Location: North Dakota | I can tell you if we tax corporations at a ridiculous tax rate they will move out of this country OR push the cost down to the consumer. A corporation provides thousands of jobs in the communities they move into. Taxing the crap out of people who make more than $400 thousand a year will NOT " redistribute" the wealth ! The biggest problem is the government spending like this country is a bottomless pit of money!! Wasteful corrupt politicians are what we need to punish not the productive middle class and the corporations!! The government is the disease!! |
