 BHW Tour Guide & Concierge
Location: Cyberspace | Due to an overwhelming interest from our users about politics these days we will continue to allow political posts and give them their own forum. Not all posts will be moved but when we have more political posts than horse posts we have to maintain a balance and come up with a solution. Many political posts directly impact our horse business so there will be exceptions. Your suggestions are welcome for keeping a good balance. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | (The Squeaky Wheel Gets The Grease) Why now!!! We fought and defended Trump when we had the Trump haters start threads about him calling him and his family horrible names, Kinda gos both ways. We didnt whine and complain to the mods we just fought for what we all belived in. I'm guessing somebody complained and whined about my Biden thread, thats why it was moved, I'm guessing.. Edited to add: Mods just delete my Biden thread (Biden is still the biggest Joke ever) on the political Fourm, we all know nobody gos over there.

| I have to admit I have gone back to the dark side FB and still like MeWe. I come over here to browse the home page, and lately horses since I am shopping and if I see something interesting I post. Sometimes it is horse related, sometimes it is politics. If there are users of barrel horse world that are unhappy with the political post I will respectfully leave BHW to them whether there is a political forum or not. Maybe one of those that only post on the controversial threads will broaden their horizons and start posting on horse related threads too |

| I am going to say this and then let it go. I am a member of an art group on Facebook. There are times when someone will post a portrait they have done of a political figure on the right or left or of a portrait of an activist group like BLM, or heaven forbid a Nascar driver you can't stand.lol We just scroll on by those post instead of commenting. I have commented on a portrait someone done of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. It was outstanding and I praised the artist on the portrait and ignored the political comments that were added. Unlike Facebook, here you actually have to open up the thread to see what it is about and the topic instantly clues you in what it is about. Facebook grabs you as you are scrolling looking at the art. One thing we keep in mind in that group that keeps us civil and tolerant. We are there for the love of art first and foremost. Just like here. I assume that we are here first and foremost for the love of horses and barrel racing. There are influences in our lives that will sometimes make it full circle and we want to vent to our forum or Facebook friends that share that first and foremost interest. If we are beyond understanding that then we are more divided than I ever imagined. I don't mind a political forum but if I want to share my thoughts where they are only welcomed in its on little box I can get that with less navigation elsewhere. Be cool all and don't forget the sharing and caring. |

This!!!! You can ALWAYS skip a thread that you dont want to bother with, and if the fool opens it and dont like what they read/see then its all on them, why complain about something if you didnt like it, just dont OPEN a thread if the title reads something of Politics are anything else they think that might offend them!!! Its not like we are trying to trap someone into reading it, BUT THEY MAKE IT THAT WAY, like we are trying to force them to read something they dont want to read, its just a bunch of crock!!!!I have so much more to say about this, but I'm going to stop!!!! Location: Bastrop, Texas | Where is this political forum? This has been tried a couple times in the past and it ultimately fizzled out. I think "Politigab" was the last version of this. It doesn't matter to me as much these days as it used to. Almost all the liberals and Obamunists have gone silent these days anyway, so political posts are largely part of an echo chamber. If I were a liberal, I'd steer clear of political posts too, unless I was fond of getting my ass kicked over my support of today's insanely radical left wing agenda. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | The reason I like this Forum (BHW) is that you can pick and choose the threads you want to read, just so easy to past on the ones you dont care to read. I really wonder why my Biden Thread got moved to a place where theres no traffic at all, and the other political ones are still on this page, which I'm really glad I love hearing from others that feel the same way I do And I tryed making more horse threads to make it more interestering but hardy anybody will post on them.. Its all the horsey ones I have notice that dont get much happening on them.

Location: Kansas | I fail to understand why NJJ feels it is her responsibility to monitor the topics. I clearly remember Oregeon BR asking her when she became the hall monitor. Always complaining about political posts but always participating. I've been here for 15 years and never felt it was my place to monitor topics because it isn't. |

Did you EVER figure that there are MANY more than " just me" who are tired of it and "perhaps" THEY COMPLAINED to the owners of BARREL "HORSE" world ...... LOLOLOLOLOLOL |

Yept, I post Daily since I dont FaceBook at all, I dont do twitter at all, the only place I come to is here, I love being able to relate with other horse/animal people even if its about Politics, I dont FaceBook because of all the Crap that Gos on there, I dont care what your food looks like are if your bowels movements are normal, LOL (I had to throw that in because a friend of mine told me that someone got into a argument about that subject) I heard that people really love attacking one another over there, yep it happens here to (Boy do I know about that, lol) but at least (sometimes) a mod will step in and stop it, but on fb not so much very hatefull on there.. Some people are cut out for that sort of stuff but I'm not.. I know alot moved to Facebook, but at least I'm comfortable here with the few friends I have made over here, so if anybody feels they need to complain about us on here then just skip our threads that are about politics, the ones that do complain about political threads are the ones that dont/hardly ever go to a horse thread. |

Great point, I left FB partly because of conservative censorship but mostly because of the constant bickering about politics. FB is a zoo. |
