Question.....when does an Appendix registration become an AQHA registration. When can you register that offspring as AQHA and NOT Appendix? I noticed on my mare's papers she has T-bred way back way back, how or when does the Appendix get bred out???  If that makes sense. I looked through the AQHA rule book and couldn't find the answer, other than both parents have to be registerd as AQHA...any help is much appreciated.

I believe that either your horse or one of its siblings have to get a certain amount of AQHA points to advance out of appendix.

You can upgrade appendix papers by achieving an 80 si or higher dose or earning an ROM (10 AQHA points). There's a fee to pay when you upgrade 

as far as when does appendix end, it doesn't , as long the horse isn't upgraded to permanent papers
