| RELEASED FROM PRISON WENDIE COX has been released from prison in Arkansas and transferred to a halfway house in Pulaski County (Little Rock). Wendie has served about 10 years for her involvement in the theft of five rodeo team horses from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas. One horse, CREDIT CARD, was deliberately killed and quartered on Wendie's land with the help of her BF and daughter, Jaci Jackson ( a rodeo team member at SAU at the time.) The other four horses were tied without food or water for several days until they were finally found. The horses are pine bark off the trees to which they were tied. Each horse lost several hundred pounds and the horses never recovered to their pre-theft status as rodeo horses. Wendie Cox' 60-year sentence was imposed by her jury after her conviction and was likely the longest imposed in the US by a jury after hearing such evidence of animal cruelty. Her daughter, Jaci Jackson, also served a prison sentence (42 months) for her involvement. She received a lesser sentence as she testified against her mother.
This was a tragic case and impacted the entire SAU Rodeo Team and particularly the owners of the five horses that were stolen. |

Anybody that can kill and starve a animal for the hell of still needs to be locked up. Cruelty to animals and children has no place here on Earth. |

Location: In The Land of Cotton | Any person who would steal and then quarter a horse isn't right and in my opinion will do something similar again. She needs to be punished longer. May she rot in hell for what she did. |

Here at our local jail they let people serve time on weekends so they don't have to miss work. They have a medical staff, you can watch TV, read books that are brought to you by family memebers so they are something you like, get 3 good meals a day plus snacks, have smoke breaks, drink pop. |
