No tire kickers for a unicorn that's not on sale. I am so tired of seeing these same ads everywhere. Most often someone is standing on the horse, horse is trotting the pattern at home, no price or location, no pic of papers (probably could get it registered), currently 3/4 D but could be 1D with right rider (Jesus). Prove me wrong.

I saw one a couple weeks ago that said No tire kickers, if you're not going to buy the horse don't ask about it. I wanted to be like, don't people need to ask about it and maybe ride it before they make that decision? Especially for the current price of the market? And those same people that say no tire kickers don't list price. So you want people to message you about it, but you also want people to leave you alone. Got it. The breeder of one of mine posted and ad recently that just said 2 year old son of *** out of a 1D producing *** mare. And in the comments put message for pics and info. Didn't even put a photo in the ad & I'm like what makes you think ANYONE is going to inquire based on the fact you're not even willing to put a photo

Do tire kickers KNOW they are tire kickers?  Like, maybe you can do an intervention for tire kickers so they can change their errant ways.

AND, what happened to 3 and 4D horses?  Are they all 1D now?

Another good question is what is a tire kicker really? I've had people tell me a tire kicker is someone who asks, comes to ride, and decided not to purchase all the way down to someone just asking extr questions not in the ad and then moving on. Or there's just people asking with no intent to even buy or maybe buy in the first place. Are there more and more tire kickers now because we consider more actions tire kicking than before? I've asked questions, absolutely interested, and then an answer I've been given has canceled my interest so I will pass. Does that make me a tire kicker? Becasue by a lot of definitions I've heard, I would absolutely be one to them

I've kicked the tires of every vehicle I've ever bought.

Just saw this one: APHA 11 years old. No stats. 2/3 D with 1D potential. (Of course) Sound but requires hock and stifle injections and has had kissing spine surgery. Still asking 15k.

I tolerate tire kickers on anything I sell because you never know if that tire kicker just doesn't kick long enough they say yep this is it.

I had one for sale. A guy message me and asked a few questions. Said he would take her but could not pick her up until Saturday. (This was like Tuesday). I told 3 or 4 people the horse was sold. Late Friday night the guy messages me and says he ran a check on the mare and he didn't want her. Don't know what a check is because she was a broodmare and I had given him every bit of information.

Here is another one. I have a horse that was not for sale. She is the one I ride. Some people asked to see her and if I would sell. I priced the horse. The people came to look at her and stood there and ran the horse down. I the horse was a perfect fit for the teenage girl. Never missed a lead. She is truly automatic. These people didn't even know what a lead was because they asked. They bought some other horse around here. My horse is still not for sale because she is perfect for an older rider.

Anytime I've actually had a BUYER, they ask for photos and a video and they come pay for the horse and pick him/her up.

Others ask for photos, more photos, more videos, and don't show up to even look at the horse - even if they're within driving distance.  That's a tire kicker.  I've even had them call multiple times with a million questions and waste my time.  If you are serious, just come look at the horse.

I've definitely kicked a few tires then, I've asked for videos and not gone to ride the horse. But the videos were why I didn't go ride the horse. But I don't ghost them like some do, I will thank you for your time and say I'm not interested any longer. It's often times hard for me to find the time to go try, I have 2 jobs and rarely have 20 minutes to even clean my house. I get home at 9-10pm and leave before 8am during the week. Weekends are a tight schedule. When I bought my last one I was there to ride another horse I had asked about and got videos, and ended up not liking him. So while I was there I asked if there was anything else on site for sale and ended up with one of the others. I got on one the day before and within one lap around the arena I got off and was done, sucker was so amped up she couldn't walk and they said oh yeah, thats normal. And the one I probably should've bought, I never went to go see. I was set to try him 3 days after I tried the one I bought, but I did contact the seller and said I had found another I really clicked with. And I had been upfront that I was trying multiple horses out that week, I had to take vacation time just to do so. So it's not always super easy for people to be able to go try horses. I had contacted about 11 and ended up making arrangements to ride 4 and only rode 3. So you never know.

From a selling standpoint, I would rather have to take 2 minutes to send videos and have them not come, than have to take the time out of my day and potentially time off work for them to come and ride and not buy. Unless the weather is just right and the arena where I board is freshly worked up, I don't have a place for them to try a pattern. It's clay and you have about 3 days before it's settled hard again and slippery as heck if even lightly wet. So I'd have to haul to an arena and rent time there. If a video I sent has ended your interest in a horse before you purchase, I don't mind.
