I'm wondering if anyone else is having issues getting a saddle from Performance Built Saddles.  I have been shined on for months and I'm not sure if the person I am talking to is even legit.  Does anyone know anything.  I heard great things about them and I ordered a saddle but now no communication and their telephone number just gives a busy signal.  Thanks for any information you have.  

I was wondering if you ever got your saddle - I am so happy with mine that I was hoping to order another before the end of the year. I had been ghosted by another saddle maker, but found Vernon and his staff to be extremely responsive - I've met one of the guys/builders and even been in their shop -- I've met Vernon twice and he even called me later to see how the saddle was working out. Since then, I'd seen postings of other saddles they'd finished, so I'm surprised that you say that.  I hope everything is okay, because he makes a saddle like nobody else.

Do you have a number to call?  The only number I have is what's on the web site and it's just a busy signal every time I call.  We have been communicating through messenger but I feel like I've been scammed.

It's been a year or two ago but there was another post about the same subject. Vernon had moved, people couldn't reach him, etc.  Several people commented that were trying to find him. 

Yes, I will send you a message with his cell number!  He travels a lot  - he may not be able to call you back til tomorrow due to bad cell signal.

you had me worried that I lost my now now favorite saddle maker ever, but I texted him about special latigos that I wanted that weren't available when my saddle was ready, and I got a response.  :) 

I think I remember that when I first started checking into his saddles....and I've had that happen before.....with more than one maker - even had to hire the Dallas Swindle Squad to get my deposit back, one time, and I finally did!  Divorce can sure turn a life upside down...

I had the best experience with Vernon - from the first saddle fitting, to the special saddle fitting and picking up my saddle and touring his shop. I really hope it gets resolved with LB.  I'm planning on getting another one of his saddles in the future :)

When I ordered they told me my saddle would be about 6 months. That was about 4 months ago. Sent them a message on FB messenger this morning asking the status & estimated date. She answered me a few hours later letting me know my tree was done & they were short a guy in the shop but would let me know more when she did.

I just noticed I sent you a personal message with his cell number etc but it is still in my Outbox which I think means you haven't checked it.

I hope you got through to them.  I did hear they are now further out building than when I got my order in.  Also, the FB/website number is directed to staff cell sometimes and she travels and I guess can be in areas w/ bad cell service.  Last I heard from her she was at some interesting seminar course for hoof and body work on horses.
