I started using a really good cbd tincture on my retired horse. He responded phenominally physically and mentally.

Since it worked so well for him I started using it for Demon when she had a stifle issue. She stayed on it for several months but was off and not working. When she started working again I thought it would benefit her to go back on. It may have been working great for her physically, but she turned into her namesake 100%. At several shows this year I had to have a younger rider friend do her warmups because there was no way I could stay on, let alone get her to work. At state finals she was seriously lippizan-ing! Since she is adhd for a horse I started to wonder if the cbd could have been the culprit. I took her off just after state finals (late September), and by NBHA World she was an entirely different horse. Still energetic, and still with some young horse willies, but completely controlled and listening to me. I did not need anyone else to ride her down for me at world and she performed spectacularly through the week.

My retired horse is her sire, but Demon's momma was my 'nutcase' mare, and where she got her high energy spazness. I love love love the cbd product and will continue to try using it on other horses as needed, but I will know and understand that it can cause excitability in a horse that is what I consider adhd.

Yes. I did! She is a little spooky all the time--typical cutting horse bred personality. When I tried it, she was a lot more spooky!!! She went back to her old self when I took her off. This was the only change so I know it was the CBD. I thought mine was the only one!

I am using a tincture made by Dream Suite Brands. Also makes tinctures for cats, dogs and humans, plus topicals for humans. This horse formula has 500mg cbd per dose, whereas most commercial products for horses have <100mg per dose. My retired horse is on 3/4 of the max dose, Demon was on 1/2 dose. I take 1/2 dose of the human tincture and I have almost stopped needing Aleve, maybe every 7-10 days I take some.
