Has anyone fed this before? And if so what is your experience? It just came up on my page with quite a few claims that it increases fertility in horses, conception rates, embryo retention, and increases colostrum levels in broodmares. I just wanted to see if anyone else had any experience with this before I made my purchase. It isn't something that I have seen before.
Thank you!
I dont have any experience with either as far as breeding. I switched to Bluebonnet's grain "Equilene Pro Care" from their "Intensify Omega Force." I liked the intensify but it got really expensive and the Pro care has the Lifeline+ built into the feed so I thought I'd give it a try and I'm really happy with it. Both horses are healthy, shiny and my barrel mare has been needing fewer injections. I will say she's out on pasture now too though rather than stalled but this is working for me so I wont be switching.
Never tried either one but I have heard that the fish oil factor can be a little difficult to get them to eat it. I've heard very positive reviews on the lifeline.
I tried the Lifeline Plus and none of my horses would eat it.
Thank you everyone for your advice! My horses are extremely picky so all of this is good to know. I might hold off on buying these and try something else instead!
I give my 2 senior horse the Stride Rewind and the 101. Very happy with both but I have not used the 2 you mention.
Blue Bonnett will send you a small sample bag to try. You can call them and they'll put you in touch with the rep for your area. They are so helpful.
I've not had anyone have issues with the Lifeline supplement. The Fish Oil factor, I tell everyone to start off with a 1/4 scoop. If you are dealing with an ulcer prone horse or known ulcer issue I feel like you have to introduce it slower but then they start diving into it.
I feed ProCare to my barrel horse that gifted me with a twin follicle ovulation, lol. The other "broodmares" get the Intensify Growth & Development B/C the feed rate is so low and I feed great alfalfa plus bermuda round bales. Everyone looks good, babies grow amazing, and I don't have to supplement anything else. I do have one broodmare that I should run the hind gut program through but just haven't done it yet.
I guess what I'm trying to say if I had issues I would be very interested in those products but personally I prefer to let me feed do the work b/c I hate supplementing, lol. 14 month old foals on good alfalfa and growth & development, zesterra mineral tubs.
