I want to go to the NFR this year, but I have no idea what to plan for! Somebody tell me what to do LoL

I want to take a few friends with me, they aren't into rodeo but they do love Vegas, and I'm thinking to attend for the last weekend.  I want to know- which days will be the most fun? What tickets/ seats are the most fun or should be avoided? How much spending money do I need haha What activities should we make sure not to miss?

Somebody educate me!

If you plan on going to the rodeo that is the most expensive time to go and get tickets.  If you just want to catch the rodeo, there is watch parties that is fun too.  We always go the first and the fourth rounds, Friday, or Saturday night we go down to Freemont Street and watch the entertainment.  If you have young ones, that's really not the place for them, unless you leave early.  We will go to watch party, that's always fun too.

Shop around on Expedia and other travel sites to find the best deals on hotels and flights.  LV is one of the cheaper places to fly into.  We've rented cars in the past, I think it's better to taxi back and fourth.  The drop you at the door and saves you a couple of miles of walking.  You have to pay to park everywhere, so there's not a whole lot of difference.  Actually, I think its cheaper to taxi.

Go to the rodeo one night--the atmosphere can't be explained.  Catch the watch parties the other nights.  South Point is my favorite--then you can watch the buckle ceremony after.  It also has my favorite Cowboy Christmas.  It seems like there is more "horse" stuff than "boutique" stuff there.  That is also where NRS is set up.

Freemont Street has the best people watching.  You can buy a drink (cheaper than the Strip) and just wander around and be entertained.  Zip lining at night with the lights was a blast.  Make your reservations for that a day or two before though.  Evil Pie Pizza was good there.

Battlefield Vegas was really cool--you get to shoot all different kinds of guns (machine guns, etc) and if you want to shell out the money can even crush a car with a tank (we did not, lol).  They have a pretty cool outdoor museum too.  They will also pick you up and drop you off free from you hotel in a Humvee.

We really enjoyed the aquarium at Mandalay Bay too.

I would recommend Uber or Lyft rather than a taxi or renting a car.
