It seems aminos are the current feeding trend in horse supplements. The testimonials and advertisements don't really SAY what the product DOES. Who has fed either product and have you seen any real changes?

I used Equinety years ago, didn't see any difference. I use MVPs Amino15X now, have since pretty much the day they unveiled it. My mare has KS and catching/weak stifles, so I used it after her surgery on both. Started in May after a late Feb surgery, i was never able to get a good topline on her for years of preop rehab to strengthen her back. Started her on it and she built muscle in places she never had before with no change in rehab program or feed. And when i upped her rehab, she wasn't getting the muscle soreness after like she had before. From there on I kept her on it. I am unsure whats all in the RHE aminos, but the Amino15x blows the Equinety way out of the water as far as ingredients. I have since taken my mare off grain completely and she's even still bulking up with added muscle from where she was just 2 years ago. I'll try to attach a 1 year before & after and find one thats more recent to now at 2 years, but you can definietly see the difference. My horses diet is balanced both mathematically and via bloodwork right now on just forage only, so for me it made the most sense fiancially to keep up with the aminos after pulling grain and she's actually doing better with it added. So if you have a horse you need more muscle on in areas or that tends to get kinda muscle sore days after certain exercises, thats when the benefit of the aminos comes in to play.

Here's a couple other angles I took for before/after refernce, these were 3 months apart. My 25 year old is alos on them to keep his muscles healthy and prevent age atrophy since he doesn't receive grain either and they need higher levels of aminos as seniors to maintain body condition
