Have anyone feed this? Pros and cons for performance horse.
I feed a mix of products with this as a component. The horses eat it great and I know they aren't getting any junk with it. I put about 200 pounds on a lactating mare this summer on it, along with top quality alfalfa hay and renew gold. It's tough to put weight on a lactating mare no matter what you feed so I am very happy with it.
I tried it with one of my performance horses for a season. Pros for me were decent energy and good weight maintenance. Cons were mainly the price and that I had to watch intake closely to avoid them getting too hot.
I was feeding about 3# to my daughters horse and he got a little hot so I backed off to half that. I just use it as a carrier for powders anyways so that is ok. I like that it's simple and they like the taste plus it soaks in cold water fast!
I feed their beet pulp, only because I already feed free choice alfalfa to my girls. I love it, has put weight on my hard keepers along with their high fat feed
Does anyone feed this to their senior horses? Does it soak well? I have a 33 yr old with okayish teeth.

My 26 year old looks better than ever, and it soaks SUPER easy even in cold water. I love it.
Try Bluebonnet from Chewy.
