I know this sounds really stupid but what is the difference between the wet and dry mare care?

Well, not being in the breeding business myself, I'm going to guess that it's a mare nursing a foal (wet) versus a mare without a foal (dry).  What do I win if I'm right?

that makes so much sense.  i could never figure that out.  i was thinking of wet being turnout and dry being stalled but then the pricing seemed off.  thanks guys.  now i feel so stupid.

Don't worry, there has been worse breeding questions asked.

I had a new stallion owner ask me one time, "Sure I'll ship seamon on my stud, but how do you get it out of the mare to ship it?"

So you could say that Wet - you want them bathed everyday, dry - being dirty is fine.
