Location: Virginia | Just wondering if you guys had some suggestions on colleges with good Equine Science or Equestrian Strudies Degrees? I have been surfing the internet and like what I saw for the programs at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT and Oregon State University. Anyone been through either of these colleges? Any other suggested colleges would be great. Thanks! |

Location: My perfect world bubble | I looked at William Woods University in MO and the University of Findlay... both super nice schools, and pricey. I did a complete 180, decided to stay close to my dad and hubby (then boyfriend), get a degree in something where there was some $$ to be made... and am SO glad I made that decision. However... if you're sure that's a field you want to persue... you should seriously take a look at each of those schools... I believe they're about the best there is, gorgeous campuses, nice students and faculty, and I believe both offer close to 100% placement... Good Luck!

Location: Montana | I know that Colorado State University has a great equine program. I wanted to go there, but I can not afford to go to school there. Rocky Montain College is supposed to have a good equine program also. It too is pretty expensive to go there since it is a private school. National American University in Rapid City, SD is supposed to have a good equine management program. I don't know if you are interested in that or not. Also, look at Global Equine Academy on the web, http://www.globalequineacademy.com/ Gene and Sandy Miller do a great job with this program. Best of luck! |

Location: Somewhere Out of My Mind | Colorado State University. Wonderful program! I was also active with the Equestrian Team and rodeo Team while I was there and both are wonderful! The program they have is very good and very complete class wise, I thought. I know they have changed it up a bit since I graduated and I think they have even added some new fun classes. |

Location: Where I am happiest | You may also want to explore some of the jr. colleges to help keep expenses down, then transfere to a university later. Feather River community college in Quincy California has a great eguine studies program, and fall 2004 starting a rodeo program. They have been working on the rodeo program for quite some time and invested ALOT of money into getting it up and running, including buying more property and building a whole new facility specifically for their rodeo program. They have requited a very strong coaching staff, and it is a first rate school. Their Natural Recources program is also very strong. Check it out. www.frc.edu |

| I've heard great things about the animal science program at University Wisconsin River Falls, you can check it out at www.uwrf.edu I have also heard that Middle Tennessee State University has a quality equine science program, not sure of the web address, you can probably run a search and find out more. |
