Its bowed but not bad gotta go back in a month after therapy and see how its doin then he'll let me know for sure when I can start leggin him up again joseyihm: he injected it witha new thing that Cal Poly has had alot of success with he's used it 6 times so far and they have all come back even stronger and he's got magnets on him at night a friend offered to her Lazer treatments for me which he said would really help speed up the healing process. I'm very very pleased with what he said. The vet was way worth the trip. Jag also had a wolf tooth which would explain the musical bits I've been playing for the last I don't know how long. THe thing that tick' me off is not 5 months ago I had his teeth doen by a reputable vets certified equine dentist partner and he never mentioned it and Dor Antle said it'd been there atleast a year if not longer it had a huge root on it. I about melted down! When he told me! I know a dentist that owes me 70 bucks! I'm plesed though it coulda been alot worse! I can live with a couple months if he's gonna come back strong and sound. Whatevers best for him.

Well, while it's not "fabulous" news, it sounds like very treatable and fixable. Sorry you'll be off of him for a couple of months, but y'all have a long career ahead of you. Two months in the larger scope of things isn't that bad.

It could have been SO much worse!  It's not the best, but it's definately not the worst that could have happened.

BTW  TBone never called me to see how Jag was, and I bet he was just worried sick, so I hope you got to talk to him this morning to ease his mind. LOL

Comingup, I would feel very confident with what Dr. Antle told you.  He's not one of those to b.s. you.  He'll tell you from the get go what can be done, and if it will work or not.  We've had nothing but great results from him and he's very affordable.

Alley - are you still going to Guymon if not to run to hang out?  How are we going to fill our permits if we can't keep our horses sound?

WHERE AM I? OH GOSH I WANT TO!! But I doubt it. I'm going to be spending lots of time working working working so when he does come back, we'll have money to go without scrapping! RodeonOK Thanks I was very pleased with him I had originally intended on another vet but my friends who reigiously use him insisted I go with them. He was super and I spent less fuel and all goin there than I would have goin to the vet in town for routine stuff. He was terrific. I can't wait to go back in a month with our older gelding and see if he can do anything for his stifles.
