Location: Wisconsin | I just recieved and started my mare on the #14 fertility. Problem is that it smells pretty strong and she is not taking to it very well. I tasted it myself and no bad taste, just the smell. How do you get them to eat it??? Do they just get-used to it after awhile?? I have to sit with her haltered to make sure she eats it!!! HELP!!!! I am mixing it with whole oats and a pinch of water to help it stick. |

Location: Here | You can make a paste with apple butter and paste her Or just put some apple butter in with your grain then wean her off.. ALso you can add more water later on and wean her off of the apple butter. Also Apple juice instead of water also can get them started on it. |

| Many great minds thinking alike today....thought about this company all day and wanted to ask some questions and saw the post....LOL We just got the Immune Fighter and Builder. Our neighbor brought in a sale horse and it had fever and was really sick. Of course we didnt know this until our horses got sick. We had to treat with shots but also ordered the Builder and Fighter......my open horse was one of the only ones that didnt catch it so we started him on the Fighter for prevention. Today we are taking him off that and just leaving him on the Builder. We have a 6yr old that got it real bad and doing better.......ADVICE here needed.....we are giving him the Fighter....do we need to feed the Builder with it or wait until he is over it and only feed the Fighter and then the Builder??????Is the Builder one that can be fed ALL the time????????? |

Location: Illinois | Training Mix is the one you feed every day. Immune is for an extra boost to the immune system or in combination with other SL herbs for certain things such as EPM. If you're in doubt, Mickey is very helpful. |

Location: On our hill top in Iowa | SG - reading up about the herbal wormer. How much do you feed each day for the 7 days? Couldn't find that info on the website - don't know if I was looking in the right places. Also wanting to know how long the 1lb of the wormer would last for 2 horses? Any help you can give is greatly appreciated!!!! |

Location: Illinois | I can't speak for SG; however, I use the herbal wormer also and by giving one scoop once a day for seven days out of each month to two horses (that's 14 scoops). There's approx. 45-50 scoops in each 1# bag. So, this 1# bag of herbal wormer should last for three months with a little left over.

Location: On our hill top in Iowa | Rideafatappy - thanks tons for your info. The cost per pound seemed expensive if it was going to be a month supply. I am going to get some ordered. Do you feed this year round? |
