| This is our cat. She is a challenge, and we have had some aggression issues with the smaller dogs, esp. concerning food. But she has mellowed out a lot in the last 6 months or so. She will be 2 in May, and would definitely benefit from a job.
She would be AWESOME at agility. She LOVES LOVES LOVES to jump up on trailers, truck beds, etc. She is incredibly smart, and this is where people get in trouble with them because they NEED to be worked with.
She is the biggest cuddlebug and LOVES to sit in our laps!

Location: Missouri | Txcajuncowgirl- Too cool - would love to see a pic! It took me awhile to come around to the idea of collar training, but honestly most of the time anymore I don't even have the transmitter handy..haven't USED it since I don't know when. Wonderful equalizers. People say "wow how do you get your dog to mind so well?" Tell em see that pretty orange collar...greatly improves their hearing and comprehension skills. I've often threatened to see if it works as well on teenagers!

 Best of the Badlands
Location: You never know where I will show up...... | Quick3 - 2013-11-21 3:50 PM We have and have had several that are primarily working dogs (cows/wild hogs, etc.) but are still good around people and my 3 year old monster boy child. If they start to show people aggression they get tuned on a little and taught that is not ok. We have a cat/border collie (I know, strange cross) that is the most vicious working dog when it comes to a fighting cow or hog but will let kids maul him. My son hugs, squeezes, kisses, pulls around on, and wrestles him every single day and he just tolerates it. He is quite possible the smartest dog I have ever know in my lifetime. I have never known one who had an on/off switch like that. He is the only one who stays in the house and is treated like a family dog. The others stay at the barn, probably to hide from my son. lol
They are great dogs. My neighbor's Catahoula female accidentally got bred by a friend's Border Collie. So they just had 8 Border Collie x Catahoula cross puppies! Good to know they are good workers!

I'm not trying to offend anyone, but I believe the correct name is CatBull. Thats what the breeder I bought from calls them and thats how they are listed when I do a search.
None taken. 1l2r is the one that coined the title bullcat. She has 2 liter mates to mine. Gus will always be a bullcat to us lol
just fits |

Location: WV | The red male I was looking at was sold. He was beautiful but I was not jumping into something without making sure it was a fit for us. I will continue to look. I think closer to spring would be better anyway for us. Thank you all for stories and pictures of your beautiful dogs. Wish me luck on finding my beautiful red leopard. |

Sounds good to me. either way it still doesn't sound like a dog lol I was only throwing it out there because there either is a registry or theres beginnings of a registry. I'd have to double check. |

| They need tons of training and socializing. Some people I know who's 18 month old Catahoula just bit their daughter's face and gave her 11 stitches. The dog was laying on the daughters bed and she went to get up on the bed and the dog woke up and bit her. The dog is spoiled and has no respect for people or their space, and today he growled at the little girl again. I do believe that it is primarily the people's fault for not properly training the dog, but this is a little girl he was raised with. The people are not wanting to give the dog up, but I can see that this is not the end of his aggressive behaviour. |

Location: South Dakota | Our Lucy is a Cat/Border Collie mix and she is the best dog I have ever seen. She is extremely smart and almost human. She is very patient with our puppy and very gentle with people. She is an excellent cattle dog with very limited training. |
