I love Tadpole and Chance and Gambler. :) I think I'll wait til I get him home and see who he really is and try them all on him and see which sticks. And as far as the concern for his being a stallion go, I'm wondering how anyone can expect a horse to have a performance record when he was never given the opportunity? This horse has never been given a chance to do anything to make him worthy. And I plan to show and rodeo him heavily and see what he can do in an arena. I understand that most people wouldn't breed to him, and that is their right. There are several horses that are proven and have a good reputation that I would never breed to. Everyone has a differing opinion on horses, bits, saddles, training styles, bloodlines, etc., etc.; the list goes on and on, as far as the eye can see. And that's why there is such a huge market for so many different things in this industry. Bad things happen when everybody gets hooked on the same thing (HYPP) and it creates a terrible name and reputation for anything that comes behind it that's related. Anyhow, I am excited about him and am very much looking forward to seeing him healthy, in shape, and turning a set of cans. Thanks, y'all, for your input.

Good luck with him, he is cute.......and how many good barrel horses are the under dogs people never see coming ? you never know what a horse can do until you put them on the pattern ..........and how many horses don't have a perfect build but still kick but.......I wish you good luck with him .......and thank you for doing a nice thing for a deserving horse, regardless of what he ever does ...you are going to give him the best gift which is a happy life...and A life at that something he sounds like he has never had......God bless for that. | |
