Haven't read the book, but I'm GF for life...my wheat "belly" is no more. I used to always feel bloated and yucky, and since I cut out gluten (was forced to due to celiac) I feel like a whole new person. Even better now that I'm full blown paleo! Gluten is not good for you

Read it and agree with it.  I feel better when I'm off wheat, but unfortunately I have not been able to eliminate all of it consistantly.  :(

I eat paleo too.  Grains/sugars cause internal inflammation.  I work out 6-7 hours a week and my knees would get so sore but since eating Paleo they do not hurt no matter how much impact cardio I do.

Never read the book, but have cutting out gluten as much as possible and I feel so much better. I used to have a bathroom "issue" and had to constantly go, but not any more. It sounds gross, but it's true. I broke down and had some mac and cheese with my lunch today, because it is homemade and soooo good. I am paying for it now and I feel like crap. I struggle with the pasta because I love it so much, but I can't even remember when the last time I had bread was.

I'm 80% Paleo and gluten free....shooting for 90%....and 100% in a perfect world......if you want another scare, read Dr. Perlmutter's book "Grain Brain" and you'll never eat gluten again......he makes the case that most forms of dementia are caused from too many carbs/grain/gluten/sugar etc....

Thanks for replies. Giving this a try although not going to go crazy and worry about a bit of ketchup or barbeque sauce. I do think there is something to it.

Bumping up for more input!
