Just curious to see who runs cow bred/ reining horses. Looking at a coming 3 year old that is all cow bred with lines with colonel freckles and dual pep.
And input would be great!

Cutting bred. Peppy Sandbager/Docs Jack Sprat. He's quick, catty, long strided and can really scoot! Plus, he's a lot of fun!

I have a daughter of Lenas Gyrator out of a daughter of Gay Bar King, and a daughter of Clarks Doc Bar out of the same daughter of Gay Bar King that I ran when they were younger
(they are 20 and 22 now
) and they both did great and won money almost everytime out! They are both quick and catty in and out of the barrel and that's where they made up the time they lost against the longer strided horses across the pen. They were both great fun, and now great broodmares!! Love the little cow and reining ponies.

My stud is a Peppy San Badger/Docs Hotrodder grandson and he has some of the quickest feet I have ever seen, and passes it on to his babies. Love him.
I also have a reining money earning grand daughter of Topsail Cody, that is double bred Skipper W on the bottom. Not as quick on her feet but has heart and try.

Thanks for the input! I like this filly I'm looking at, just worried about barrels bc she is all cow/reining. But that doesn't mean they don't have the speed!
