Location: Kansas | Just got this press release and photo in my newspaper email today and thought BHW might be interested. RFD-TV’s THE AMERICAN Announces Arena Map and the Crowne Plaza Arlington Suites as the Host Hotel for March 2nd Event OMAHA, NEB. – RFD-TV’s THE AMERICAN presented by Polaris RANGER has released a map of AT&T Stadium, as well as announced the host hotel for the March 2, 2014 event. The main floor of the stadium will be split into two sections, A and B, which will house the different main events. The host hotel for the event is the Crowne Plaza Arlington Suites. THE AMERICAN is the richest one-day rodeo in the history of western sports with a $2 million payout. The gold buckled event will showcase several legendary western sports athletes who have received exemptions to compete. Recently, THE AMERICAN announced three riders who will come out of retirement to compete including: 11-time World Champion, Charmayne James in the barrel racing competition, two-time PBR World Champion, Justin McBride in bull riding and seven-time World Champion, Dan Mortenson in the saddle bronc competition. Additional exemptions will be announced leading up to March 2, 2014. The team roping, saddle bronc riding and barrel racing events will be taking place on the A section of the floor. Fans of bareback riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping and bull riding will want to have their sights set on section B of the floor., Please see the map below for full view of all seating options and prices. For more information on the reserving rooms at the Crowne Plaza Arlington Suites, for RFD-TV’s THE AMERICAN presented by Polaris RANGER or purchasing tickets, please visit americanrodeo.com. Ticket prices for the event range from $20 to $150, not including taxes. In addition, the event is being closely coordinated with PBR’s Iron Cowboy V, which will take place the day before THE AMERICAN on March 1, 2014 at AT&T Stadium. Combined, the events are expected to bring more than 100,000 fans and participants to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

I can't tell if they're running two arenas at once or if they'll switch between the two - like buck the bareback horses, then team rope, then ride saddle broncs, calf rope, steer wrestle, barrels and bulls. That would alternate them. They should put me in charge of this. LOL.

I hope you are right.. with the calibur of athletes there in each event.. no way would I want to have to try to keep up and not miss anything with two arenas going.

Location: East Texas | The PBR Iron Cowboy was set up like that and they would alternate sides. And im pretty sure my tickets are in the purple section NOT where the barrel racing it going to be. Thank goodness for the big screen.

I don't think I like that..... I can confirm that both arenas will not be running at the same time - We are in Jackson MS right now, preparing for the 4th qualifying round for The American, so I don't have a schedule in front of me, but when an event finishes in Arena A, there will be a break of a couple of minutes, then the next arena will fire up. This allows for commercial breaks, re-positioning of TV cameras, arena set up, etc... It's gonna be GREAT!!! Oh and yes, we do know the size of the pattern, but BBR has elected not to release that info just yet, as we still have two qualifiers to run for barrels and feel that it wouldn't be fair to those who have already run.

Awesome- I was worried about this- I am glad you confirmed! And I am glad they are being very thorough and thoughtful on releasing the specs as you mentioned on pattern size. It is going to be an EPIC event. I can not wait!!

Also glad for the clarification.. I am not going, but it sure would have been difficult with two going at the same time. Seems to be a great set-up, hope it is run smoothly as it sounds like it should be! I sure wish I could go too.. NOT FAIR TURNLANE!!!
