heidiinaz - 2013-11-26 4:48 PM  If you do the oxy-gen bleeder stop do you still do LASIK?
I wouldn't- but every case is different I guess.
I was able to stop lasix with the equidite, but yes, every case is different.

I had several people on facebook confirm they are the exact same product, though equidite is saying theirs is different.  Waiting on another response from them as to what the difference is.

I double dosed the Equidite and she still bled without lasix, I won't ever run her without lasix again, but I do like to imagine that these supplements still can help, if even in a small way-

I will be calling Coltin today about the Equidite Bleed Block being the same, and get word, from the horses mouth, so to speak.

Oxy-Gen 60 Dose is 2lb @75$, Equidite 4lb 60 Dose is $150.... Perhaps youre feeding double, getting better results... and if you wanted to double up on the Oxy-Gen, youd need twice the amount, making it the same price in the end?
Just a thought..

This was last year, but i remember talking with Colton at WPRA Finals in 2012 when Equidite was first making its appearance in the Barrel horse world. I feel like he told me they worked with Oxygen to come out with their Bleed Block but the main difference is it wouldn't test positive if you were to be drug tested at a rodeo? That was his big selling point to me anyways, i could very well be mistaken.
I personally have had excellent results with Oxygen 2X and bleederstop, and was able to knock my lasix dosage in half (but still do not feel comfortable giving up lasix all together). My horse looked much healthier and was running harder when i finally got the right mix for her. Libby with Oxygen helped me personally and she is wonderful to talk to.

I know someone that switch to the Bleeder special blend in the Muscle Mass. Used to have to give the horse 7cc of Lasix. No more!

Bleed Block contains higher concentrations of the ingredients. That is why it costs more. Your horse is going to keep on bleeding if you do not heal the lungs up first. Heal the lung, make sure there is no bacterial or fungal infections. Help clear up the scar tissue by using Lung Aid. Lasix is a diaretic, it does not stop bleeding, it removes pressure off the lungs but please build your horses venous system.

Colton emailed me last night and said his product had higher concentrations of ingredients in it and was designed to be used everywhere, including super hot climates like Dubai.

Β This post may not be allowed so if it disappears I will understand.

A while back there was a conversation on here about bleeder supplements about horses.

A poster had said that Equidites Bleed Block and Oxy-gens Bleeder Stop were the exact same product made by the same company.Β

Can anyone confirm this?

Recently talked to Coltin of Equidite, and was told that these are not the exact same product, they are manufactured at the same facility as Oxy-Gen, and that Equidite will be moving to a new manufacturer so that this rumor can be put to rest.

Also, Equidite was never not allowed to be sold to Barrel Racers, they just started out with Reiners and Cutters, and have spread to other diciplines. As I mentioned earlier, Equidite has a full page ad in Barrel Horse News Magazine.

Depends on why your horse bleeds if you should use lasix with the supplements or not.. I wouldnt suggest not using Lasix during a run reguardless. Unless you scope him to make sure what your using is really stopping the bleeding. He could still be bleeding inside and not bleed out. To big a risk of infection.
