I got a Tammy Fischer for my gelding because I got sick of him outgrowing saddles. Everything seems to fit great except my cinch is too long. Its a 30 inch Ariflex and I love it. Based on where it was sitting I figured it would be safer to go with a 26 inch instead of a 28. The problem is that the air flex doesn't come in a 26.

What should I get instead? The only other two I found were the CE Soft Touch straight cinch or the Professionals Choice VenTech straight cinch. The ropers don't come in 26.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I use a 28 airflex with my treeless saddle and a saddleright pad.

Unfortunately I think a 28 will still be too big. I've never tried a saddleright but my 5 Star is working great.

I have been using the 26 inch classic equine alpaca roper cinch. I really like how it keeps my saddle in place so far its my favorite one to use

My horse hates mohair with my treeless saddle so I got her a Classic Equine fleece cinch.

I was going to ask this same question! A 32 will swamp even my fattest "When is she going to foal" looking mare-who isn't even bred of course. My little gelding barely works with the 30" PC Shearling Wool. I'm going to start using all of the 28" shearling wool girths now. Reasoning- look at the pendelton runs by the pros and see what girth they really use. I use a 28" airflex a lot too. Just sold a lot of 30 and 32" charmayne james neoprene girths to get new wool ones.

I know what you’re going through as I also bought a TF. My gelding is really narrow and even on tree'ed saddles I have to go with a 26-28 in cinch. With the TF I had to go with a 24! My mare is larger and normally around a 30-32 or sometimes larger, but I still had to go with a 26! They are hard to find and you probably won’t find the exact one you want in the size you need, but I got a Neoprene Smart Cinch (straight as the roper doesn’t come small enough which stinks cause I rather have roper style) but it works fine. I believe you can get them either Neoprene or felt lined.

Good luck!

Thanks. I went with the Pro Choice Ventech one cause I figure the attempt at being more breathable than straight neoprene was worth something.

Got a 26. Fingers crossed!

I found a 26" air flex on amazon. It's the straight one, I don't think the roper comes in that size. But I am getting it for my gelding which is still growing. I use it with a BM and a saddleright pad.

Aww!!! I didn't even think to look on Amazon. I figured since none of the main websites had it then they just didn't make it.

Oh well!

I know, right? Who would think about Amazon when it comes to horse stuff. But they do have a lot, some might not be sold by them, but through them by other companies....
Hope the other one works out for you.

I had to go down to a 26 also and since doing that I now have two big dry spots on both withers with roughed up hair...perfectly round like bottom of cantles/pomel. I am asuming muy girth change caused this because I had no dry spots in the beginning I have only had the saddle a few months.......ant advice?
