I LOVE my stingray seat... but yes, you do wear through the inner thighs of your jeans MUCH faster... I average 4-6 months per pair of jeans now. I don't find my saddle to be slippery. The seat has help up very well. My saddle was new in January 2009...
Does yours have a full seat or bicycle like mine?
Mine has a bicycle seat. I am now a rep for Triple Creek Saddles... I am in the process of designing my newest one... I might go stingray again for the durability, but I am thinking of the inlaid like yours.

I had never thought of it before this thread was started but maybe my inlaid is the reason my jeans don't wear. I wore the thighs of my jeans out horribly when I was healthy
(fat
) but I never blamed it on the saddle seat. I've just never had a problem.
