I am so sorry for your loss. We lost my friend's daughter's mare the day before Thanksgiving to colic at the age 20. It has been so hard to watch the daughter struggle with this loss. She got the mare when both were 10 and they grew up with this little mare taking such good care of her girl.
I have two oldies in their 30s that I worry about going out and finding them. Both are fat and sassy butter balls, but you just never know.
Sending prayers your way. Such heartache comes with losing a member of our furry family.

It always amazes me how these very special horses work their way into our hearts. They become our best friends and part of the family. I can't help but believe we will be re-united with them someday. My heart goes out to you.

SO sorry for your loss. It is hard to lose those good old ones.
But it is also hard to watch the light and love of life drain from their eyes....
