We are moving to Rifle in May. I am looking for some BB from that area who would know about races, ranch sorting ect. Also where is a good place to board a horse....and any barns that might be in need of some help.My So will be working for the diamond S ranch and we can't have a horse there till fall. While I am not from rifle I go there a lot. Rifle has an awesome fairgrounds with a huge indoor, outdoor, and round pen. You can board there. The ground is pretty good too. Idk about barns to work for but you will have plenty of barrel races and small rodeos between the NBHA and Mile Hi Western slope circuit to in in. They have races all over glen wood, rifle, basalt, and grand junction. It also gets pretty green around those parts. Rifle is a dink sized town but you will have plenty of opportunity to run barrels. I will look up the Facebook page I have in mind and let you know what it is. I think it is called racing in the Rockies.

I live about an hour from Rifle. Rifle has a nice indoor arena and they have a lot of events there. Racing In The Rockies has several races in the area. The Colorado West Barrel Racing Assoc. has races scheduled in Fruita. You don't have to be a member to run at our races. Are you looking for barrel races, Rodeos, playdays or what?
