I have a 2013 Dodge Dart Aero and i love it.  I did get the 1.4 Turbo and 6 speed manual.  Right now I am getting around 31 MPG.  This compaired to my old Ranger though is like night and day.  I drive about 360 miles a week going back and forth to work and only put 40 dollars of fuel in it.  My truck I  had on the other hand was close to 100 bucks a week in fuel.  So the fuel saving alone make up for it.

We had a cruze for a while ~ pros:  easy to drive, park, ect.   Cons:  let dust in bad, could go nowhere in snow, not real comfortable.   We now have an equinox and love it

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I will say the only thing I noticed between the Focus and Cruze was that the ford seemed smaller and "cheaper" inside, cruze did seem more roomy but I am only 5'2" so room isn't a huge issue. Cruze also seemed smoother and quieter especially with the suspension going over railroad tracks but the Focus wasn't uncomfortable to drive by any means- may just be because it does seem low and narrow.
The Dart didn't seem as comfortable to me plus was a bit higher in price for whatever reason so I decided to knock that one out of the equation.
I do think I am going to expand my search into looking for a hyundai since so many of you mentioned it and take it for a test drive.

Also need to look at the fiesta.
Thanks again

Fiesta is a BA, but don't test drive a cheapie model or you will be disappointed.

FYI - Ford has a really neat option on their website. You can "build" your own car, then take it to the dealer and they can compare what they have. It also gives you a price, plus any offers/incentives on the car.
