I have been keeping my eye out for a working cow/running cross but haven't seen much especially in my area. I ran across a Hancock/tb cross.... Anybody have a similar cross?? Any opinions? I mean I guess a lot of running qh lines have a lot of tb so shouldn't be to far off what I was originally thinking right??

I have two, one is 13, my old barrel horse and ranch horse delux. He is by a foundation QH stud and out of a TB mare. He stands 16-16.1 so were gonna try picking up on him at some local rodeos this summer. The other is by a Frosty Feature son and out of a TB mare whos dam produced several QH stakes horses. His mare was tiny for a TB only about 14.1-2 but he stands around 15 and is 5 this year. He is so quick on his feet but kinda on the spooky side, might try him in some of the later futrities this year...well see how hes going in may when payment time comes up.

I've had two Hancocks, neither were appendix, loved the gelding but not the mare. I had a TB mare I got 4 colts out of, the best she had was by a son of Colonel Flip out of a Doc o Lena mare. He is 6 now and has the coolest turning style and really knows how to power away from a barrel harder than anything I've ever ridden. My TB mare died a few years ago and this gelding is her last one, wish I still had her to make that cross again. She was a granddaughter of Masterhand and also went back to Raise A Native.
