I'm just curious to see how many horses there are that had big jaws (or as I like to call them "pig jaws") and are hard to fit a throat latch on. My gelding is about 15.2 hands, semi stout, and has a clean throat latch area on him but I only have two pieces of leather that will actually fit him when I use a bridle. He was gelded with he was two years old so he doesn't have a stud jaw but I'm just curious if a lot of QH owners have this problem too.
PS
Hope everyone is doing ok in this weather and not getting sick!

I like a QH with a big jaw and tiny muzzle, but you don't see them as much anymore it seems. Gelding at 2 shouldn't have made it, I usually see them on geldings that were gelded at 5+. Never had one I couldn't fit a throat latch on, good luck with that :

Haha I know, it's a little odd. His head isn't huge either. My husband just bought a bridle for me for Christmas from NRS and everything fits great but the throat latch. I usually have to ride is a single ear or just take the leather out for a regular browband headstall.
