| What are some extra things you do to keep your finished horses feeling good? I always wonder about different products when I hear of them! Curious of your experiences. Some examples are the back on track stuff, equisports, and theraplate. Thanks in advance:) |

| I don't run KWHA events any more but when I did we would have about an hour between runs and I would completely unsaddle, de boot and give a sponge bath between runs and on really hot days there would be liniment mixed in every time. My horse thanked me for it by trying hard the whole day and not getting exhausted. we would run 10+ times and most people kept there tack on therehorses |

I also make sure I give them some down time so they can relax. I feel like they end up working harder for you when it's time to compete. |

Location: CentralTexas | For my main horse, I put BOT hock wraps and Soft Rides on him before he gets in the trailer, and they stay on until I run, and they go on immediately after a run after I hose his legs off and put liniment on, along with my PHT tendon wraps (after his legs dry). When he is in his pen at home, he has BOT bell boots on 24/7. Before every ride, I spray all my horses with Bigeloil (spelling?). I literally treat my main horse like a delicate flower lol |

Location: Muskogee, OK | Way too much! Lol.
Before running (usually I'll do this to haul to the race) I wrap with BOT no-bows, usually just fronts as my horse has had a front tendon issue. She also gets her PHT blanket and soft-rides (front feet only for now).
After running, I spend a good amount of time walking her out. I then either put some ice boots on her or poultice all 4 legs (really just depends on my mood). Then her PHT blanket goes back on. |

Location: on my horse | Everything lol but I'm in college so funds are limited so it's mostly what I can do to make him feel his best without doing 99 products/supplements
he has his hocks injected on a schedule and gets a joint supplement and platinum performance plus a complete feed
he has (mild, lameness free) synovitis so I massage the areas and do the linament/cold treatment before and after every ride
he gets a 20 minute walk before every ride and on days I don't ride him I still get him out and take him for his walk either on foot or ponying
clean pen with shavings every day because he Loooovesss his shavings even though he is outside lol
I'm an equine massage therapist so I work on him all the time
he goes to the chiropractor on a schedule
I padded my trailer floor so he has a squishy shock absorbing ride
aaaaannnnd I bought a bigger trailer because he likes it better

Location: on my horse | Forgot to add that because of his hocks and synovitis that we only enter where I know the ground will be good and enter minimal races and only when I know his hocks etc are feeling good
I love my boy and would do anything in the world for him |
