| This season I will be hauling A LOT, it's going to be a long year and i want what is best for my horses. I often see at overnights many people wrap their horses before and after a run. So my question is.. What is it that they wrap their horses legs with? What types of liniments, wraps, and stuff is the best? And what do i need to stay away from? What will put unwanted heat on my horses legs? Ladies I need your advice! Thanks(: |

| Depends what your wrapping for. If I am wanting to sweat a leg I will use furazone and wrap with no bows and standing bandages. After a run I like to use green jelly and wrap for the trip home.
Make sure you are wrapping correctly so you aren't doing ore harm than good by bowing a tendon

That's what I do most of the time after a run and sometimes the night before if she's been working hard. She knows when I get out the poultice she gets excited and LOVES to have it on. |

I've tried sore no more poultice, uptight poultice, and the sore to more liniments and she hates them she acts like it burns her. I've also used a track remedy on her hocks it was ball solution and iodine and it burned her. |

| For the horse with sensitive skin I would try Back on Track or PHT, then you do not have to use any liniments. |

Just ice them. Its one of the "old" therapies for treating strained tendons but in my opinion it's still one of the best. What type of poultice are you using, Clay or Epsom salt based? |

Finish line makes a non medicated clay poultice. I haven't tried BOT wraps, but I've heard great things. |
