Alright I seem to be stuck and can't decide which race I should haul to so looking for some opinions/help! Ok some background, bought my futurity mare in early October, hauled and exhibitioned her a few times and a little over a month ago she got strangles, she is fine now (yes I have been cleared by a vet). My dilemma is I haven't hauled her in over a month, last time it blew up in my face a bit (she's finished we are just working on getting together). There is a race this Saturday about 1.5 hours away, this is one of the arenas I hauled to her before. Or wait till the 15th of February drive about 1 hr 45min to a different arena? In a perfect world I would like to go to both but I'm not sure that will work. I just patterned her a bit on Sunday, but my indoor arena really limits me to a small pattern.

The reason I'm asking is I want to get her out before I enter a bulls and barrels on the 22nd of February.

Thanks!!

A young one you haul as often as possible. Not putting any pressure on them. Find a hiccup in your pattern you work on it at home and haul again. No pressure, when that horse starts getting "it" then give a little hustle move at the most solid feeling segament of their work. No more. Just keep building her up till your confident to haul for big $ That being, diesel $,  EF's etc that come with hauling.
