| And so the story goes... I bought a saddle out of state and used paypal to pay for it. Seller was very easy to get ahold of when I was paying for it, but then blocked me on facebook when I started demanding a tracking number for the saddle. Obviously, I'm not getting this saddle.
Has anyone filed a claim on paypal and won? Or not won? Tell me what to do to get my money back! |

Location: ohio-in my own little world with pretty ponies :) | There is a # you can call for paypal to talk to them. The people receiving the money cannot withdraw it for a set amount of time in case there is a problem. Just call the # and tell them what is going on. I've never had this issue but I had an issue with money being released before and they were very easy and nice to deal with. Hope it works out for you |

Location: Kansas | File a claim ASAP through paypal....and keep at it, bug the heck out of them until you get your money back. Also file a police report so it looks better on your end, the police department can file a report, just give the persons name...info...etc. And relay the police report # to paypal, that is a sure fire way to get your money back |

| That is a good idea, but where do I file the report? Since I bought out of state? My local department? Or? |

Location: Canada | You have 45 days I believe from the time you purchase until you can't file a claim. File it right away with PayPal.
They will work with you and the seller to resolve the issue ans if they can't they'll refund your money.
Don't wait file right away. |

| It has only been a week, but seeing how as when I was interested in the saddle the lady would get back to my messages within moments, and now that I have paid for it, she has since blocked me and wouldn't respond to a single one about a tracking number... probably not a good sign. I already put in a paypal "dispute" to which I'm sure I will get no response. I will file the claim as soon as possible. |

It's only been ONE week???? Maybe she hasn't shipped it yet? How do you know she blocked you or is she just unavailable to answer messages or emails? Do you have a phone number? |

Yes only one week.
Our converstions were only over facebook, in which the moment I sent her a message she would respond from a mobile device if not from a computer. She said she was shipping the saddle THE DAY that I paid for it, and then I heard nothing. Sent a message asking for a tracking number which I saw was read, but she never responded too. Sent another message that I said I understand that things come up and what not, but if she could let me know when she thought she could get the saddle shipped, I would appreciate it.... once again I saw that the message was read, and I got no response. I sent a couple more messages that were also read... and then I was blocked. I know I was blocked because I had a friend check to see if she could find the girl on facebook, which she could... and I could not. I'd say that is good reason to be worried, especially with $1,900 on the line. |

Location: Centerville, TN | I've only used PayPal once when I had ordered a bracelet. My debit card number was stolen and my bank account was hit in three counties before my bank
froze my account. I will never use PayPal again. It took me three weeks before I got my money back. I did get my bracelet, I don't blame the person I ordered it from. Today there are too many hackers out there. When I was hit it was at Christmas time, so I couldn't do all that I wanted for my family. I'm going back to cash, checks or money orders, debit card will be used less. |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | I've filed a couple of times and always won. It wasn't hard on my end. Just read your emails because sometimes YOU have to escalate it to a claim...then just wait and they will notify you when you win. They do contact the seller to hear their end, but paypal protects the buyer FAR more than the seller. (which can be crap sometimes but that's how it is). |

| Thanks for the responses. I can't escalate the dispute to a claim until this evening, apparently you have to wait 24 hours for the seller to respond to the dispute, which big surprise, she has not. I will file the claim immediately. Does anyone know how long it takes to go through? It makes me nervous to have that much money in limbo. Lesson learned there, I will never buy a saddle from someone that I don't know personally or is not a known dealer again!

Location: Vicksburg MS | I paid for a pair of jeans and got multiple excuses as to why they weren't sent. Filed a dispute and then turned right around and bumped it right into a claim. It took a couple of weeks, but I got my money back. Seller had immediately printed a shipping label, but the tracking number showed the package never scanned into the USPS... just that she's printed a label. I guess she thought that would cover her butt. She was wrong. |
