Can you guys help me? My just turned 6 yo is going through a tubby stage and I cannot get jeans to fit him at all. (I wish they would make old fashion elastic waist ones not the new internal elastic that doesn't stretch!!)

I was wondering about old style bib overalls. Is there anywhere other than sheplers that sell them? They work out to be about $32 each without postage at Sheplers and as I am not 100% sure if they will even fit I was hoping to find something a bit cheaper to test with first. (Sheplers may end up being cheaper just due to their postage costs.)

Has anyone bought these overalls? Are they a tight fit through the body?

Thanks in advance if anyone can help. :-)

My little brother lived in those things.  He didn't have a chubby problem he just loved his bibs!  Now I'm aging myself since my brother is 32. LOL  I know mom and dad always got his at the farm supply stores.  I haven't looked at all if we still have those or not.  I bet shipping would be horrid to get to you too.

They must be hard to come by because EBAY has a pair of boys size 7 right now - they are used and at $28.00 with 2 1/2 days left.  Holy smokes.

Thank you!!

I know they used to be so popular and I can't believe how hard it is to find them now. They are everywhere for toddlers but not boys/girls.

My daughter went through a chubby stage when she was in her pre-teens.  The only jeans I could get that would fit her nice was the regular western Wranglers.  They come in husky sizes and really worked nice on her.  Our son had the exact opposite problem and couldn't keep his pants up because he was thin.  Cinch makes jeans with an inside elastic piece that you can tighten or loosen as needed.

I wear a 40" length pants. Many companies don't go past 38". Don't know why. Most of my pants come with out a hem, and are close to 50" long. I take them to a seamstress, and she hems, and tapers the bottom. They look like they came from the factory that way. It's a little spendy. She charges me $20 a pair. Perhaps you could get a junior size hemmed and tapered. It would fit in the waist, and leg. Just a suggestion.
