Oxbow Tack

Several of our local feed stores are carrying Oxbow tack and some of it is pretty appealing, I have to admit. Especially a couple of the wool pads I've seen. Does anyone have any feedback on them? Good or bad? How they hold up, mold to horse, etc. I am about to buy at least 2 pads and these are quite a bit cheaper than what I'm looking at with other brands.
(Granted, most of the time you get what you pay for with tack
).

I can't say anything for their pads.
All of my tack when I first started riding
(back in '99
) was Oxbow and it did the job and held up nicely, but I probably wouldn't do it again. I had a saddle pad from them, but nothing like today's technology so I hate to say to pass them up or buy one.
It's readily available in my area
(the same town they're out of
) but I haven't had any in a long time. I'd assume it's only gotten better.
I did buy a new one eared headstall just last week from one of their lines. I'd say it looks to be of pretty good quality and the floral pattern with match my Billy Cook perfectly. Haven't gotten to use it yet, but it seems pretty durable from appearances.
Sorry that I'm of no real help, but I'm curious as to what others say about them!

I have a saddle pad
(at least I think I still have it
), I loved it with my saddle I sold. I don't use it with the new one, but think the quality is good.

What kind of saddle are you NOT using it with? I just bought a Martin Crown C and I tried a PC air ride pad and it slipped all over my mare, but a classic equine wool contour worked great
(it's just extremely old, hence the reason for shopping
). I was actually looking at 2 different types of the Oxbow pads--a 3/4" wool one for the crown C and the performance pad
(which looks like a cutter style blanket with wool underneath
) for my other horse that I ride in a Martin SC. I wouldn't have thought about the saddle until I got the Crown C and figured out quickly that not all pads are created equal.
