Is the CJ worth the extra money?

Location: Riding Crackhead. | CJ has extra ingredients for joint health. I normally only run 1 or 2 horses a season and chose to feed them CJ. This year I'll have at least 3 of mine and 1 or 2 for my daughter. I think I'll be feeding PP this year just for the sake of the cost feeding that many head. If you go to their website it breaks down what additional joint supplements they add. The reg PP does have ingredients for joints also, just not as many. |

I've never had problems getting a horse to eat it. It would cost a fortune I'm sure to ship it or I'd buy it from you in a heart beat. |

How long does a 10lb bag last? I will probably have 1 maybe 2 horses on it. |

10 pounds won't last long especially with 2 horses on it. During the off season when I don't ride at all I give my horses half scoop once a day. During the season they get full scoop once a day and the days we're on the road they get grained twice a day with a scoop each feeding. According to the website 10 pound bucket is 69 scoops. |

| Β I've Fed Platinum And Platinum CJ for A Couple Years Now. I Liked It But It Was Just "Ok"...I Always Bought The 25Lb For Horses. I Was Looking Into Trying Something Different So I Went With 707 Next. I Could tell My Horses Felt Better On That...Was Feeding daily Essentials + Joint Essentials. When It Came Time To Reorder I Went With Oxy-max...I Did A Ton Of Research On CJ vs Oxy-max Vs Exceed 6 Way Vs 707 And For The Price Per % Of Ingredients For Joints Exceed And Oxy-max Are Your Best Bet. I'm In Love With Oxy-max And Will Stick With That For Now. If I Would Try Something Else IlL Go With Exceed....Jmo Platinum Was A "Good Product" After Feeding it For Years But I See Better Results With OxyAnd If id Switch I Would Feed Exceed 6Way. This Is What Works For My program :) Good Luck |

Call Platinum. They will work with you. My filly was a little odd with it at first so I fed it in ALOT of soaked alfalfa to cover the taste and now (3 months later) she will eat the CJ with a little regular grain. The CJ is bitter and some horses won't eat it, even the flavored stuff.
I bought a 25lb bucket off a friend b/c her mare wouldn't eat it no matter how we tried to cover up the taste.
ETA - I have been feeding CJ to the filly since Thanksgiving and my mare has been on PP since last summer. I really like both products and the fact that Platinum is a great company that will work to help you find exactly what you need for that horse. The results on my shooting mare are outstanding, she has so much calm energy and looks FABULOUS ... I really can not say enough positive things about this company and the products they provide.

Thank you. Of course I had purchased the huge bucket because I had read and heard so many good things about it. I will give them a call. She will eat the top of her feed until she sifts through everything. |
