Location: Georgia | Never really used them but I've been working my mare in this one and she is working nicely. I have been riding in a beetle hack and I need more lift, which I seem to get more from this hack. Are there any disadvantages to them?
ETA: Anybody have any problems with pinching? I had to put bit-guards on.

LOL Im pretty sure I bought it about 7 years ago for another horse and never touched it. Love the way it feels so far. This mare is sensitive and the dogbone sits pretty soft in her mouth so she doesnt react like she does with broken snaffles.

I use this on my horse. It helps me keep him on his butt while it provides lift, too. I'm using it as my step up from a Jr. Cowhorse. I love it and at the moment don't have bit guards on it. |

| This is my main bit for my guy and used to be my main bit for our old mare. She was super sensitive and this was one of the few bits she tolerated. My main guy could probably run in anything, but it's what he's been in for years.
My new guy is too bendy for this bit. Had to switch him to a Jim Warner, but I'll still use this one once in awhile for different things like more collection and lift |
