Location: Somewhere between S@%&# stirrer and Saint		Those compounding pharmacys are not changing any molecules, they are just buying smuggled in raw materials and making copy cat drugs of FDA approved drugs or making drugs that are not FDA approved.  I have been saying this ever since I have been on BHW.  I hate those compounders! Those vets selling compounded drugs that are not compounded from FDA approved drugs should have their licenses taken.

Not all compounding pharmacies are bad.  Compounding just means mixing.  ALL drugs or supplements are compounded.  ALL drugs or supplements have a carrying agent, which means it's been compounded.   

Those pharmacies breaking the law in one way or another (either illegal drugs being used or processes that lead to contamination) eventually get found out and fined and cleaned up or closed down.

There are thousands upon thousands of humans and other animals who survive only because a compounding pharmacy mixes specialized drugs and doses for conditions too rare for the big pharmaceutical companies to make money on.  Without compounding pharmacies we'd all find out real fast just how altruistic the big pharmaceutical companies are (not).

The only legal compounded drugs are the mixing of 2 or more finished FDA approved drugs, not mixing of the raw active ingredient materials of the FDA approved drugs.
