| Colossian 2:3 In(Christ) all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are safely kept.
Knowing God encourages a state of mind that is peaceful and secure.
Today people continue to seek the answer to life through intellectual pursuits, philosophical debate, and even angelic revelation. Yet what is true in Paul's day is still true today. Faith in Jesus is the only road to salvation and to the secrets of life. Faith comes from knowing God through personal experience,, not intellectual pursuit. Any knowledge derived from that perfect source bonds people together in love; they do not pit themselves against one another to show off what they know.
Yet this kind of knowledge isn't a treasure trove you acquire the moment you invite God into your life. It is something that's revealed one gem at a time as you dig deeper into the Bible. FOCUS ON JESUS. Get to know Him intimately, with your whole being. You'll find knowledge that's practical, eternal, and worth infinitely more than any doctoral degree.
When you act on what you've learned by focusing on Jesus, you demonstrate wisdom. The more you put wisdom to use, the wiser you become.
FOR IT IS WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE
HAVE A VERY BLESSED TUESDAY.

Location: Montana | Thank you LJ, a wonderful message. Reminds me of the verse in the Bible that says faith comes from hearing, and hearing that of the word of Christ. Have a blessed day as well!

Location: Arkansas | Thank you so much for that, LJ! I just have to share. Maybe someone else feels the same way that I do. I have great faith in the Lord. I have great faith in others to pursue their God given talents and dreams, and I know that they can achieve them! However, I have always doubted myself and am terribly lacking in confidence in certain areas. This year I made a commitment to read through the Bible and as I was reading I came across the verse of the Father saying to Jesus, "I believe, cure my unbelief" and it struck me deeply. I got out a notebook and started writing and as I wrote I "uncovered" this faith issue that I had about myself and my faith in myself. It was keeping me from doing things that I loved.
I decided that my "self help" book would be the Bible. I found every verse I could on confidence and faith and printed them off. Now, each day I rewrite and try to memorize 1-3 verses, put them in my own words, and how they apply to me. In a matter of weeks, I am amazed at how differently I see the world and so is my husband. He says it is the best thing I have ever done. Bottom line is this: If I don't go after my dreams (any of us) or use my (our) God given talents, then the Devil wins because I (we) can not bring Glory to God. Thank you for this today and everyday. I look forward to reading your writing each morning.

| I saw a program the other day where they had a pastor on to talk about a new book he had written. He said that recently while traveling around the country, he had a man ask him about "this thing where God speaks to you and people who have God speak to them". He said he had never had God speak to him. The pastor asked him if he reads his Bible? He told him, this is where God speaks to you. These are his words, his teachings and this is still where he speaks to us. Everything we wonder about how to handle a situation or crisis is right there. Reading your Bible daily will definitely build a relationship with God, because think of it, you're building a friendship, a bond, like a conversation with a close friend. Let it enrich your life. | |
