Revamping feeding program to renew gold

My coming 4 year old is on pasture during the day with Bahaya round bales and getting a rye/oat/clover hay along with cool balance feed and a scoop of alfalfa cubes soaked at feeding time am and pm. I may finally be able to get renew gold but I would like to know how I would need to revamp my feeding program for him?

Our horses were on 6 lbs of COB. The first month we went down to 3 lbs COB and did 3/4 lb of RG. As the month went on we gradually put less and less COB in. Start of second month we went to a full lb of RG and our horses have done really well.

I feed Renew. I've never fed very much grain so I traded what I did feed grainwise with the Renew. I do feed beet pulp and alfalfa cubes and he was leaving the cubes so I cut those out. I figure what ever he starts leaving I will cut back or eliminate. Very happy with the Renew so far.

I'm just finishing up my first bag but my horse already looks great so I don't expect much change. I don't believe in feeding much grain so I love the whole deal of this product. I did take some pictures but I also think it will be unfair to judge a horse going on it now since the horses have winter coats and all horses look better when they first shed out. JMO
Go to Sherry Cervi's site and look how dark and dappled Stingray got on this product.

I have some before and after but like someone else said--it's a little unfair with it being winter AND the before weather was way better than the after weather haha!!

How long are your bags lasting you for 1 horse?

Well I've always been told that you need to know your forage nutrition content first. And then you can add what you are missing with grain.
