Location: NC | Thanks everyone. I've been doing pretty well, considering. I'm sad she's gone, and I know it will be hard at times, but I really do feel relief that she's not in pain anymore and she's able to be her again. She's with my Pap, some Uncles, and my Great Grandma, so I know she's not alone for sure. Plenty were there to meet her when she got there.
It does hurt when I think that my kids never really got to know her. My youngest won't remember her at all except from pictures. So that stings a lot. But I know her memory will always live on through all of us.
I decided on "Sissy's Song" by Alan Jackson for the memorial video the funeral home makes. It seems to fit well with her. "Don't worry bout me" is exactly what she would be saying.
