pkardos - 2014-03-08 9:56 AM To all the cancer warriors out there, I don't know of anything that has kicked my butt so badly, but as I saw someone post earlier, there is a routine and there is an end in sight. I will not lose my hair as this protocol/medications don't do that but I have every other side effect and it is not fun. Watching everyone else continue to ride/haul/have fun is a killer too, but to all of us brave hearts.........we will survive and be stronger. As my husband just told me this morning, the Lord is teaching me to be a patient and better person. I'm going to hope that I learn and grow from this experience. Soldier on my friends!

I almost sent you a PM but thought maybe sharing my treatment would help you not feel so alone and maybe help somebody else who is lurking.

My chemo kicked me hard, as I was on the couch in a fetal position for the whole treatment, 8 treatments every two weeks.  Every symptom that they said "might" or "could" happen, well it happened with me.

The purpose of this ramble is to let you know that you can and will get through it and when it's all said and done it will honestly just seem like a bad memory and an old bump in the road.  It's the end result your after so just keep fighting through it. (And I had the Red Devil for BC and I sure enough lost my hair, ball caps and wild rags, silk scarves etc were my friend)
