I don't think anyone has mentioned Secret Effort Dash in Scott City, Kansas. I think his speed index was 104, and he is a WPRA/KPRA money earner (think he might have one the average or year-end in the KPRA one year), and a solid 1D horse. He's produced 1D/rodeo horses and race ROM earners. We've got a filly by him, and my in-laws also have a daughter. Very nice horses that are super-quick, catty, and athletic. He has an excellent temperament.

wierqh - 2014-03-03 11:10 AM Bill Wingate still has Cajo at Bronson, KS and he has FS on him.  I have a Take Off Jess daughter do to foal the end of May to Cajo.
I've seen some really nice Cajo colts - I want to say Jill English had some or was riding/selling some for Bill. He's another super nice guy. can't remember if I've seen Cajo himself but everything I have seen of Bill's was really nice.
I think getting his foals into the right hands with people to promote them have been limited.  Kay Blanford was riding him for Bill  back when he was getting his points a long time ago if I remember right.  He told me at one time she thought about buying him or buying half interest in him, one or the other, but Bill didn't want to sell at that time.
Denise Hrdlicka is the one that promoted Cajo and put all the points on him not Kay.  I know this because I traveled with her and accidentally left him untied once.  Luckily, he was a good boy and stayed put.  lol..  I have ridden several of his colts and it is just like any horse, you have to have a good mare.  Mine have been kind but ornery.  Catman Goldseeker is a great one in the arena and his babies are proving themselves too.
Ok but I know he told me a story about Kay and Cajo, but that was several years ago.
Edited to say he has told me several stories over the years that they could be running together a little too. LOL

Listen to Lucky Fiddle, she knows bloodlines and breedings.
I don't think you can't go wrong with Cajo or Catman Goldseeker.
However you need to figure your mares strenghts and weaknesses and then the studs
strenghts and weaknesses to determine the best cross.

Depending on where you are located, some studs in Ok,  Ne, Mo and Co maybe closer than in state studs

Has anyone mentioned Dashing Chester?  He's a real nice one too!  Becky Canaday has him - Fort Scott, KS I believe.

I really liked ALL the Ten Streaks colts we saw at Rutlands but he no longer stands him. And he would not price any of the ones we liked.

I am not sure where he is standing. Sounded like a partnership that went poorly.

rodeowithjoker - 2014-02-28 8:50 AM OK for some crazy reason I know of a lot - and all I own are geldings so its not like I'm in the breeding business LOL. Going to throw out everything I know of that hasn't been mentioned because I don't know what the mare's papers look like or what your goals are.

Rae Lynn Olson at Altoona (100 miles south of Topeka) has Jets Last Payday. She is a BB on here and has a website, www.olsonranchks.com.

On farther south at Independence, Jeff Rutland www.rutlandranch.net has My Designated Driver, I Want It Now, Ten Streaks and Admiral Indy. I have a MDD son (the new BIG one) and my friend Becky's big sorrel mare is an I Want It Now baby.

Also, the full brother to my Clifford stands at Hamilton KS (35 miles east of me, probably an hour & a half drive from Topeka). His name is Behold His Power, and crazily enough he looks very little like Cliff. Cliff is 15.3 and sorrel, his brother is only a shade over 15 hands and a dark bay/brown color. Don't believe he's got any online presence but I have Tom's number and consider him a friend so could get someone in touch with him easily.

I go a colt from Tom two years ago.  He will be three this year and I will be starting him this year.  Love those bloodlines.  He has the most amazing attitude.  I believe his registered name is Lana's Power-but I call him Tommy.
