Location: Southwest Minnesota | Although spring doesn't officially begin for about 5 more hours it is feeling like spring here this morning. I snapped a few pictures of my horses this morning way out in the pasture. Then they spotted me and came running! Just wanted to share something beautiful...

That is Nike, a grade, coming 4 year old filly that is my daughter's project. She's not very big but we are hoping she's gonna be a barrel horse like her momma. She doesn't know much yet because we were waiting for her to grow a little more and if she ends up not running barrels and wants to be somebody's trail buddy we are not out much. I traded a set of used zebra print SMB boots for her.

I'm a sucker for grays! She's very pretty! Much better than the used SMB boots! |

Yes, she has a hernia. The vet says it is no big deal...so for now I am not going to do anything about it. She was a real butt-face when she was younger but is turning into a nice little mare. Just something for my daughter to mess with so she doesn't drive her other horse nuts. |
