So, my mare is too wide for my lynn mckenzie saddle. It has the special tree and she is more cowhorse built. I absolutely love love love this saddle and the way I ride in it. Anyway, no one wants to buy it but I need a saddle for my mare. I was looking at billy cooks made in oklahoma. What saddle can I get for a decent price and that will fit my hunky mare? Iam broke atm lol

Broke is a relative term for most of us...I have $300 to my name, too me that is broke. To others it is $1000 or even $1.00. What is your price range? I saved up for several months to be able to buy the saddle that I needed/wanted. Another good place to start is to see if you can just take your horse to a saddle fitter or tack shop and see what will fit and then start looking from there. You will be able to sell your saddle, but perhaps what you think is the right price is not what it's going for in the market right now, so you will either need to take a loss on it or hold onto it until that opportunity arises.

Do you have the wide Lynn Mckenzie? Did you place an ad here on BHW? Saddles sell pretty good here.

If you like the Lynn M maybe try and find a used wide one. I know that Double J makes them in the wide. Is this budget of 1000.00, with out sellng your other saddle, are will you beable to add the 1000.00 to the sell of your saddle, Hummm hope I worded that right, lol...

Ive heard cactus cjs fit wide horses.
I know double j does really well they can be really pricey tho.
Coats again real pricey.
Older billy cooks I feel are better than new ones but that's jmo

All my horses are pretty wide and I use the Cactus CJ saddles.  You can picked them up used for around $1000.

I had a hard time fitting my wide mare.  After trying about everyting short of a treeless I ended up with a Cactus Marlene McRae Special Effx.  I'm very happy with it!

I LOVE my Shiloh Jordon Peterson Contender.....I didn't realize how open the front of my Shiloh was until I sat it side-by-side to other saddles in our barn.   I bought mine new for around $1400 (it has an elk seat) but I've seen used ones for less than $1,000.  Here's a pic on my 14.1 cow-bred gelding with a 1/2" 5-Star pad:
