Location: USA | I'm curious about what everyone feeds their horse and I'm looking about getting another different kind of joint supplement and was wondering which is the best one that is fairly cheap. I can't afford 6-Way, Cosequin or the smart paks so that's not an option but along with the joint what else do you give them like vitamins, minerals, hoof etc; |

| I'm THE on everything pretty much!!
All on the Muscle Mass of their own formulas:
blood flow/joint
joint/senior/lymes/immune
ulcer/wormer/joint/hoof
senior/joint
and one gets perk-a-tone.

Location: In the land of peanuts and cotton | Right now I give 5cc glucosamine IM every 3 weeks but I've been wanting to get something to give daily too. Our lameness vet that I started taking my mare too for bone spurs recommends Exceed 6 way but I'm like you. I just don't know I can afford it. I do give 1-2 cups Aloe Vera juice daily for stomach ulcers.

| If you are on a tight budget the least expensive supplement to feed for joint support is MSM, I give it to all my horses 365 days a year. If you can afford it, PHYCOX EQ isn't too expensive and have had good results with it but not real cheap. Make sure your feed is taking care of horses needs along with good hay and just do the best you can for each of your animals. There are so many products on the market these days it makes it difficult to choose, especially if you are new in the game. Make sure they are in shape and ready to compete, protect them with supportive boots on legs and feet and enjoy them. |

Location: London Ontario | I like plain old flax seed or oil. I was thinking about some aloe vera as I think my mare may have mild ulcers. I was also looking at Noni Formula 1.... |

I to feed something for this and something for that but changed to Platinum CJ and found in the long run is is cheaper because everything is in it. rather than mixing together several supplements. Seems to work better too. |

Location: Louisiana | For joints I give 10ml of Acetyl D-Glucosamine (aka generic Adequan) once a week. It's $80 for a 100ml bottle from my vet. So it's just over $1 per day. My mom only gives it to her horse every other week, but mine is ridden and competed on a lot more. As a general supplemement, we are about to put them back on Royal Champion. My gelding looked and felt amazing on it. It's a little pricey and at one point I just couldn't afford it so stopped feeding it. Then I just kinda forgot about it LOL until I started thinking about how good he looked on it. |

Acetyl d glucosamine is not generic adequen. Adequen is polysulfated glycosaminoglycan, ICHON is the generic form, but the ph is slightly different |

| I have used tight joint plus, I don't have anything arthritic on it yet, just my young horses.
Lubrysin is oral HA
Both products have good anecdotal evidence, with your horse I would try tight joint plus, as they photographed one horses ring bone reduction, it is on their page. The people are good to talk to as well. |
