Damn Yankee Posts: 12390 Location: Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace	I think it can start affecting them within an hour, but normally is suggested 2-4 hours out to have a full affect.

Am I really the Weirdo? Posts: 11181 Location: Kansas	I was told on here last year that it should be given the day before you run, the day of, and the day after. I've been giving my old gelding 5mL the evening before we run and then 5 mL again on the morning of our jackpots but I haven't been doing the day after dose. It seems to be working well for us - he's been in the 2D every run he's made this year and I'll take that from a 21 year old horse anytime! Best of all, he hasn't been coughing or seeming extra winded after he runs. Matt commented last weekend that my Joker didn't look like he was even breathing hard, which made me feel really good since he has traditionally been one who takes a long time to cool out.
