Location: Missouri | A friend just moved to Mona, UT and is in need of a horse chiropractor. He is checking, but told him I would post on here looking for recommendations as well. Any suggestions? |

| Mo Bracken is in St. George, he is a vet that does Chiro work. I'm sure there are several north of Mona, probably in Spanish Fork area, but I don't know who they are. |

I am amazed there are this many vets that do chiro out there. Here, the vets don't. We have a couple of guys (and a gal too I think) within a couple hours of me who do chiro, but the vets won't touch it. I haul two hours to ours, and he is well worth the drive. A good thing, because we don't have many options! |

| There used to be a few that were just chiro's that messed up a few really high dollar cutting horses. Now everybody I know around here will not go to one unless it is a vet. |

Yikes. The one we love went to some type of school for just this. He has an incredible knowledge of the horse's skeletal and musculature system. We learn so much just watching and listening. The other one I've used is actually a human chiro that works on horses and dogs as well.
Our main guy is super. Has worked on ours at rodeos in a pinch, and once stayed up until midnight to meet us. Daughter's horse dropped his shoulder at a rodeo, and that was the quickest we could get loaded, pulled out, and there.
I would be really skittish about someone new, no doubt! |

Location: Randolph, Utah | There is someone in the salt lake valley but of course his name isn't coming to me. I know some people use Dr. Wolfe out of Farmington NM. I'm in northern utah and get a gal out of Idaho that I love.
There is a race in Salina utah this weekend and dr Tanya Bartlett is usually there and she does chiro as well. |

Location: Utah | There is a vet in Richfield UT that would be about an hour and a half south of Mona who will do chiro & vet work. Lots of people around here really like them. Dr. Utley (435)896-4421. I would also look at Equine Edge (Dr. Bartlette) or Dr. Wolfe (when he comes up from New Mexico). I am about 15 minutes from Mona if they need anything...

I really like dr. Utley for vet work. I've never used him for chiro. A lady that used to work for us said she didn't like him as a chiro though. I don't know why. |

I don't usually use Utley, I usually go with Equine Edge, or Dr. Wolfe for Chiro & vet work and either Salt Creek (local vet) or haul to Dr. Heaton at South Valley for my vet work depending on what I need. But I've used all of these vets for years, and am very comfortable with them. I just know a lot of people around here really like Utley. |

I had my good rope horse get cut up real bad once. He broke the top strand of a barbed wire fence and then walked the fenceline dragging the wire accross his chest. It was litteraly like hamburger. Dr. Utley put him together so nicely, you could hardley even see the scar. He is in my opinion one of the best horse vets in Utah for that kind of stuff. |

Location: Utah | Like I said, I know lots who love him. I'm not saying anything bad at all about him (only used him once when I was in a pinch), but for me it is about 6's drive wise to him or my vet that I have used since high school, so I drive North to Dr. Heaton, who isn't just an amazing vet but a very good family friend. The only thing is, Dr. Heaton doesn't do chrio work so I have to go other places for that. I think we are blessed in UT to have a lot of really good performance horse vets around. |

Couldn't agree more. |
