Fun thread. Β The first is my Golden, Buddy, who died a year after this pic, in 2006. Β The next is my current Golden, Bonnie, along with my daughter, Elizabeth. Β The rest is my Rottie, Neva, one of Komet's favorites, I believe!
Yeah!! I love a Spoiled Rott(en)weiler Neva's a daddy's girl!! |

Location: Golden Gulf Coast of Texas | Not sure I can get pics on here as I have tech issues but I have two right now. My 14 year old diabetic Westie named Pearl (aka- Blackie, Pearl Jam, White Fang, Eddie Vetter, and Queen P)! The other is my one year old catahoula, Trucker! Love them both so much! Watching P age is becoming really hard tho!

Location: Southwest Minnesota | This is a great thread! I love all the pics and stories. Here is my beautiful baby girl, Poppy. I love her dearly!! I found her on the classified ads of a TV station and bought her over the phone, figured out how to shuttle her from where she was to my house, which was about 5 hours away and required 3 car changes for her. After I had it all set up, I text a picture to my hubby. He asked "What is that?" to which I replied our new puppy, she will be here in a couple days. We are a little over the top attached to each other.

Location: Lone Star State | This is Ashes, my 8-year-old super smart blue heeler. She had a stroke last year so she is not 100%, especially on that left side. She is MY "once in a lifetime" dog. She goes everywhere with me and can be protective if necessary but loves people. She used to be an excellent frisbee dog before her stroke but now just limited to tennis balls as she can't jump in the air anymore (equilibrium off). Funny story: we came home from week of snow skiing. Had to make a run into town to lowes so let her go. She is trained and the bed of my truck is "hers"...she knows to stay put. We were shopping and the next thing I know is Ash was running down the aisle inside lowes to be with us. Lol, she just missed me but I about died!
And then there is Buck, our german shepherd puppy. We just love this lil guy. He's a mess.

| So we currently only have 2 at our house ...
First - JACK - My 9 yo male Border Collie - he has outlasted a fiance, saved my life from rank momma cows, ran hundreds of miles helping me train for marathons, kept pace with my horses for countless hours while I legged them up, traveled miles upon miles across the country as my co-pilot, moved 12 times with me through college and after, worked countless head of cattle and sheep with me, and loves a good cuddle on the couch while getting his belly rubbed. He is my heart and soul and I cannot imagine my life without his soft fluffy ears in the morning!
Next - MEG - the newest addition who imagines herself as my personal alarm clock/ american idol contestant wanna be. She is only 2 this year and loves to howl you awake as soon as the alarm goes off in the morning. Quirky as heck but loyal and strong willed, she was picked up as a replacement for my SO's first BC, Ike. Meg is one heck of a good working dog who will outlast most people, horses, other dogs, and certainly any livestock you put her on. She is finally maturing and has quit stealing my slippers to pack them off and hide them - now she just uses them as her personal pillows.

Location: Displaced Iowegian | This is a picture of my 16 year old Jack-Fox Terrier cross. His name is Pistol. He has been in severe heart failure for about nine months. The Vet likens his heart to a very old washing machine with a bad leak. We are at the point that it is a real chore trying to find anything that he will eat......but he still has that spark in his eyes and loves the best.....
